The Works of Henri Cartier-Bresson

I was initially drawn to this photo because of the sense of patriotism I felt this individual was seeking to convey.  I did not know the context at the time, but I could imagine that this woman embodied some victorious moment in history. I liked being able to read the caption on the site that expanded on the story behind the photo: "This woman explained to me that the flagpole over her door was broken but on such a day as this, one keeps one's flag on one's heart" (USA, Massachesetts, Cape Cod, July 4, 1947, Independence Day). www.magnumphotos.com/C.aspx?VP3=CMS3&VF=MAGO31_10_VForm&ERID=24KL53ZMYN

I liked this picture because family is so special to me!  I imagine that this portrait is of his mama and it means the world to this little guy.  Keeping those we love dear, forever near.  Mexico, Mexico City, 1963. http://www.magnumphotos.com/C.aspx?VP3=CMS3&VF=MAGO31_10_VForm&ERID=24KL53ZMYN
